All of my friends/roomates are cooks and alcoholics haha. All they talk about is work - the curse of hanging out with cooks.
They're good at what they do, they just don't get a good payoff from it. Switching jobs in that line of work puts you back at near minimum wage. Two of them have 5 years of fine dining exp and they're not doing too bad. 13-14 an hour with less work
