What's different here from SB at Shutdown 24.3?

  • A new system, called Glory has been added. Glory rewards you for success in PvP. Going on killstreaks will show off your might to those around you and the server, and reward you with increased experience!

  • A new newb island system that focuses on PvP has been added. Kill your enemies on Newb Island, fight for the center outposts to gain rewards, and aid your allied faction members along the way. New characters begin at level 10. Promote, equip your hamlet's starting gear, then venture out into the world. Your inventory is safe when you fall in battle on newb island.
  • Noob Island now lasts until level 35.

  • At the beginning of a Hotzone, several high profile camps may repopulate with R5+ mobs and highly difficult 'encounter' monsters.
  • These 'FC Events' will offer unique rewards to those keen on braving the challenges, but also presents opportunities to those cunning enough to take advantage of the Hotzone's heightened traffic.

  • Mine Times are no longer set by guilds, and instead have a fixed time that randomizes each week.
  • Mines now have a chance to become 30 minute windows. You can tell a mine is a 30 minute window by its name on the world map, and its time will say e.g., "12 to 12" which would be 12-12:30, rather than "12 to 13" which would be 12-13:00.
  • When a mine rubble tower is claimed, a new tower will form, which will heal over time periodically. Come earlier in the window to lay your claim to a mine!

  • Guilds now select a timezone region when creating their guild. These regions dictate the time window available to guilds when selecting the time of a bane.
  • When baning another guild, both regions are taken into account and we attempt to give you a sensible option, with slight advantage to the defender. Pacific Rim guilds only receive this benefit during the weekdays currently due to scheduling issues.

  • Item Resource costs have been rounded. Additionally, XPAC costs have been changed to 5 per armor affix, 10 per jewelry affix, and 20 per weapon affix.
  • Mithril, previously unused resource, can now be used to instantly roll equipment on your forges. Unlock or lock it on your warehouse.
  • All tiers of affixes at or below +6 Def Equivelant (eg +3 resists, +6 stats) now only cost gold to formula roll.
  • +7 tier of affixes now cost 1 Agate per affix. Agate drops from unique named monsters found throughout the world.
  • +5/SDR tier equivalent class gear may be purchased from faction Quartermasters while exploring adventure zones.
  • Vorgrim drops have been updated. The stats on these items may now vary, being useful for both Resist and Defense builds. Find a list of these stats below.
  • Throwing weapons are now rolled via the parent weapon type's smith (e.g. Throwing Daggers must be crafted on a Daggersmith).
  • The cloth and light armor Nephilim head pieces, Fiend's Skullcap and Nephilim Leather Helm are now rollable by hirelings.

  • Increased stamina cost of attacks made while flying in the air.
  • Potions effects now dispel upon movement.
  • Weapon Power Debuff Durations have been normalised to 10s, with few exceptions.
  • Resistance buffs have been reduced from +50 to +25. Group resistance buffs now cap at 1 train.
  • Creation resistance runes have been adjusted to +10 resistance.
  • Blood of the Dragon creation rune has been adjusted to +5% Movement, +10% Fire Resistance
  • Vorgrim & Disc Droppers are now R5 and are both more resilient and more of a threat to players.
  • Duplicate Adventure Zones removed. Several duplicate zones were replaced by Resource Mine macrozones which received favorable feedback on our Dalgoth mapset.
  • Discipline drop variants reduced to one for each rune , with a few exceptions (Prospector, Gladiator & Huntsman).
  • Northern Vorringheim (Vorringia Ice) is now a Hinterland.

  • All races' resistances have been adjusted to be +15 for bonuses or -15 for weaknesses, except for Vampire which remain at +/- 20.
  • Aracoix are weak to Lightning and resistant to Mental.
  • Centaur are weak to Unholy.
  • Dwarves are weak to Magic and Unholy. They are resistant to Lightning. They additionally have +10 Piercing and Slashing, and -10 Crushing.
  • Elves are weak to Poison. They are resistant to Magic, Holy and have increased healing receptivity.
  • Half Giant are weak to Fire. They are resistant to Cold.
  • Irekei are weak to Cold. They are resistant to Fire.
  • Minotaur are weak to Poison and Mental. They are resistant to Cold.
  • Nephilim are weak to Holy and Magic. They are resistant to Lightning and Fire.
  • Shades are weak to Holy. They are resistant to Unholy and Poison.
  • Vampire are weak to Holy and Fire, and receive less healing. They are resistant to Cold, Unholy and Bleeding.

General
  • All class defense buffs now stack with normal conc / healer defense buffs.
  • Root spells' duration has been reduced from "60" at PR-40 to "40" at PR-40. Cooldown increased from "10" to "20" at PR-40.

Fighter
  • Fighters without access to toughness now gain up to 750 more health, scaling by level.
  • Fighters without access to athletics now gain up to 75 more stamina, scaling by level.
Rogue
  • Hide now allows movement. Hide now reduces movementspeed by 20%. It caps at PR-20.
  • Sneak is now instant cast at maximum rank. It increases movement speed by 10-50% from PR-0 to PR-20. Sneak now caps at PR-20.
Healer
  • The Restoration skill is now modified 100% by Spirit rather than 60% Int 40% Spirit.
  • Blessed Healing cast time reduced from "3.5" to "0.02 (instant)". Cooldown increased from "0" to "15".
  • Blessed Healing now requires "87 Restoration" up from "26 Restoration".
  • Contagion may now be cast on players. Its visual effects have changed from fire to disease particles and now caps at PR-20 but retains its PR-40 effectiveness.
  • Contagion's direct damage component is doubled, its cast time was reduced to 1.5 seconds (from 2) and its cooldown has increased to 8 seconds (from 0).
Mage
  • Shielding's physical resistances bonus has been reduced from "+30%" to "+20%".


Assassin
  • Shadowmantle's duration has been reduced from "30 to 120" to "30". Cooldown increased from "10" to "15". It now has a more obvious visual effect and unique effect bar icon.
  • Shadow Mantle cast time reduced from "2.0" to "1.0"
  • Poison Backstabs now deal their damage "over 20 seconds in intervals of 2 seconds, at 3%" from "over 30s in intervals of 5 at 3%".
Bard
  • Bards have received a significant quality of life and player engagement focused rework.
  • Chants have been organised into three categories (rede, song and melody) - you may have one chant of each category active at once, adjusting to your groups' immediate needs. All chants now cap at PR-20 to allow the bard greater flexibility with templating. All chants durations have been increased to 60s.
  • Gentle Melody, Restive Melody and Calming Melody now also heal a small amount of their associated resource (health, stamina, mana respectively) in addition to passive bonus regeneration.
  • Song of Spring, Song of Warding and Song of Fortitude's resistance has been reduced from "+50" to "+20", but now stack with all other resistance buffs.
  • Song of Warding resistance has been changed from "Magic" to "Magic and Mental".
  • Song of Fortitude resistance has been changed from "Poison" to "Poison and Bleeding".
  • The Rhythm of Steel has been renamed "Dela's Rede of Deftness". It is an Attack Rating chant which increases ATR by 90 to 250 between power ranks 0 and 20.
  • Baleful Battlehymn has been renamed "Cuthric's Rede of Cunning". It is a Defense chant which increased DEF by 30 to 150 between power ranks 0 and 20.
  • Ragnor's Rede of Rending's is now a Group Damage and Power Damage Rede. It increases these by +10% at PR-20, and stacks with all other sources of damage bonus.
  • Mighty Countersong now dispels one debuff and provides 5s of Root, Snare and Stun Immunity. Cooldown increased from "10" to "30".
  • Litany of Focus has been changed to "Song of Focus". Song of Focus activates all resistance songs at once, stacking. This spell does not reccur like a chant, has a Duration of 30s, Cooldown of 300s and mana cost of 135.
Channeler
  • Flesh of Lead and Flesh of Granite has been reverted to its old school classic state of being single target. They each absorb 1000 damage.
  • Blizzard is now group friendly. Blizzard's damage has been reduced by 20%.
  • Aqueous Rejuvenation no longer stuns self. Cast time reduced from "10" to "5". Cooldown at PR-40 reduced from "600" to "180"
  • Healer Channeler Offensive stance has been increased to 25 (from 10) and Defensive Stance to 35 (from 10).
  • Call Lightning's Damage has been increased by 20%, its mana cost from "63-93" to "63-180", its cooldown from "10" to "24".
  • Divert the Aerial Flow has been reworked into "Divert the Elements". This dispels one debuff of each element.
  • Fire Bolt, Cold Bolt and Lightning Bolt resistance debuffs no longer stack with one another.
Confessor
  • Contrition and Purge Wickedness skill focus changed from "Thaumaturgy" to "Restoration".
  • Contrition's Mana cost increased to 100-140 between power ranks 0 and 40, its cast time has been reduced to 1.5s and cooldown was reduced to 10s (from 15s). Conversion rate increased to 250% at PR-40.
  • Purge Wickedness' mana cost has increased to 120-153 (from 23-53) between power ranks 0 and 40, its cast time was reduced 1.5s and cooldown was increased to 10s (from 5s). Conversion rate increased to 200% at PR-40.
  • The Redeemer's Blessing sacrifice ratio has been increased from "120%(HOT)/160%" to "250%(HOT)/250%" while its base value was reduced from "13.5" to "10.0".
  • Kiss of the Martyr's base transfer amount has been lowered from "31.5" to "26.5" and the transfer ratio increased from "240%" to "250%".
  • Brand the Wicked and Saint Malorn's Wrath now deal minor Stamina damage in addition to Fire damage components. This Stamina damage is mitigated by Fire Resistance.
Crusader
  • Aid to the Faithful now also increases Healing Receptivity by 15%.
  • A new power, Sanctuary of Faith has been added. This power is a group "100-500" point damage absorber against Unholy and Holy. Instant, 50 mana cost, 30s cooldown.
  • Blessing of Healing Hands' range has been increased slightly to 20 units.
Druid
  • Regrowth's mana cost has been increased from "59" to "75" and cast time reduced from "2.7" to "2.5". Regrowth heals for 30% of its original value, but now applies a short heal over time over 10s.
  • Raptor Cloak is now single target. Duration reduced to 60s max. Cooldown now scales down to 180 at PR-40.
  • Braialla's Kiss, the single target percent heal has been reworked into a Single Target Heal over Time power. Mana cost has been increased to 100-140, duration of 60s and a cooldown of 20s.
  • Breath of Spring, the group percent heal has been reworked into a Group Heal over Time & Nature (Bleeding, Fire & Poison) Ward. Mana cost has been increased to 240-280. Cast time of 4 seconds, duration of 30s and a cooldown of "600s to 60s".
Doomsayer
  • The cast range of all Doomsayer drains has been increased to 120 (from 100).
  • Unleash the Taint & Sign of Vel'khev have had their cast times reduced from "4" to "2", their effectiveness has been reduced by 40% and their cooldowns have been reduced from "10" to "5".
  • Unleash Blight's effectiveness has been increased by 10%.
  • Vel'khev's Kiss' cast time has been increased from "3" to "5" and its effectiveness has been increased by 100%.
Prelate
  • Smite the Dead has been reworked into "Radiant Beacon", a Heal Receptivity Buff and Area of Effect Reveal & NoHide power. Radiant Beacon increases a target's Healing Receptivity by +30% and reveals hidden characters within 60 units of the target.
  • Saint Victor's Vigor cooldown reduced to "30" from "180". Duration from "4" at PR-01 to "30" at all PR.
  • Touch of Saint Wend now heals a small amount of stamina in addition to its health heal.
Priest
  • Incantation of Renunciation's mana cost has been increased from "100" to "150".
  • Prayer of Recovery's heal scaling (Healing increase per rank) has been doubled.
  • Prayer of Recovery's mana cost has been increased to 80-240 and its cast time was reduced to from "5" to "3.5".
Necromancer
  • Embrace the Void's duration has been reduced to 300s (from 900s). Effectiveness reduced from 40% to 25%.
  • Channel the Void now train caps at PR-1, retains full effectiveness and its duration has been reduced to 300s (from 900s). Effectiveness reduced from 40% to 25%.
  • Unholy Storm's damage has been increased by 20%, its mana cost from "37-84" to "37-180" and its cooldown from "10" to "24".
Nightstalker
  • Put to the Torch has been reworked into a Single Target Delayed Damage power. Initially deals minor Holy Damage followed by a large amount of Fire damage after 10 seconds. May be dispelled.
  • Litany of Discretion's cooldown has been reduced to 8s (from 30).
Ranger
  • Mend Wounds' mana cost has been rescaled from "25 to 33" to "40-70".
  • Grasp of Thorns' cast time has been reduced from "4" to "2" and its cooldown has been increased to 6s.
  • Grasp of Thorns now deals half damage as Piercing and half as Bleeding Damage over time. A heal of equal rank may be used to dispel Grasp of Thorns' Bleeding component.
Scouts
  • Reveal has been reworked into "Pin Down", a bow-only Root power.
  • Pin Down has a Stamina cost of 50, a duration of 4s, a cooldown of 40s and does not break on damage.
  • Hunt Prey has been reworked into "Pinpoint", a Single Target Reveal and Invisibility Block
  • Pinpoint has a Stamina cost of 25, a duration of 20s and a cooldown of 60s.
  • Pinpoint has a recognizable particle effect and should be easily identifiable from a distance.
  • Detect Hidden now costs 50 Mana (from 10 stamina).
  • Camouflage reworked into an Group Sneak power. Camouflage has a cast time of 6 seconds, a duration of "100 - 180" and a cooldown of 300s. Camouflage has a radius of 10 units. It affects the caster and up to 2 nearby allies. It is a GM-able stealth, which is rare.
  • Hunt Foe's cast time has been reduced to 3s (from 12s).

Templar
  • Sword of Saint Malorn now costs 75 Mana (from 25 Stamina).
  • Wings of the Seraphim mana replenishment component has been reduced to a flat 20% at all power ranks.

Conjuror
  • Now passively grants +15 Warding and Sorcery
  • Call of the Dark Lords now summons a ranged caster pet Draatch. The pet casts a weak version of Mage Bolt and a special, stacking variant of Blood Boil.
  • Dark Lord's Favor has been changed to Dark Lord's Pact, a Single Target Destroy & Drain Pet. This spell is auto granted. 2.5s Cast Time, 300s Cooldown. Has an ATR roll based on Sorcery - drains any target pet of all of its life, healing you for 50% of the damage dealt.
  • Dark Lord's Boon has been changed to Arcane Binding, a Single Target Powerblock. Powerblocks the target for 8s, granting 24s of powerblock immunity also. 2s Cast Time, 40s Cooldown. Has an ATR roll based on Warding.
Siege Updates
  • Sapper's Balefume has been reworked into a Point Blank Area of Effect Healing Dispel power.
  • Balefume's radius has been reduced to 30 units and it now dispels all Healing effects from affected targets.
  • This includes Health Regeneration, Healing over Time and Healing Receptivity.
  • The "bot powers" of Sapper, Artillerist, Battle Magus, Sanctifier and Saboteur now train cap at PR-1 yet retain their 20 point effectiveness.
  • Sanctifier's Sacred Reinforcement has been reworked into a Percent Heal over Time power. It no longer scales off of Intelligence, Spirit or Restoration.
  • Sacred Reinforcement will now dispel Demolishing Spell.
  • Battle Magus's Demolishing Spell has been reworked into a Percent Damage over Time power. It no longer scales off of Intelligence, Spirit or Sorcery.
  • Demolishing Spell will now dispel Sacred Reinforcement and Water Bucket Heal over Time effects.
  • Battle Magus's Counterward has been reworked into "Scry", a Personal Detect Enemy and Reveal power.
  • Scry has a mana cost of 50, a cast time of 3s and a cooldown of 20s.
  • Scry informs the caster of the whereabouts of nearby enemies and reveals those around him. The caster is not told the name, number, guild, class or race of the enemy - only their direction.
Artillerist
  • Artillerist's Batten Down has been reworked into "Engineer Ballista", a Summon Ballista power.
  • Engineer Ballista has a cast time of 8s, and a cooldown of 90s.
  • Engineer Ballista's Field Ballista has an attack rate of 49.3, an Attack Rating of 600 - 1200 and deals up to 200 - 450 Piercing damage between power ranks 1 and 20.
Saboteur
  • Saboteur's With Catlike Tread now also stealths the player. The power may be trained to GM, has a duration of 120s and cooldown of 300s at PR-40.
Sanctifier
  • Sanctifier's Sacred Fortification power has been reworked into "Unwavering Faith", a personal Stun Immunity power. This power is dispelled by any "powerful" (9s+ duration) stuns - absorbing the stun once, but protects the caster from lesser stuns without being broken.
Bounty Hunter
  • Detect Hidden's activation cost has been changed from 25 Stamina to 125 Mana and its cooldown increased to 180s.
Black Mask
  • Added new power: Detect Hidden, an equivelant power to that of Bounty Hunter Detect Hidden.
Clanwarden
  • Greeschak, Veshtai Shaman removed from world.
  • Clanwarden no longer drops ingame
Wyrmslayer
  • Wyrmslayer's Drakesbreath has been reworked into "Drakesbane", a Cold Damage over Time, Ground and Snare Weapon Power. Ground component lasts 30s.
Runecaster
  • Nyth Rune mana cost increased from "30" to "50".
